Check the team — real names, real LinkedIn, real history
Read the smart contract — is it verified on Etherscan?
Check liquidity — is it locked? For how long?
Look for audits from reputable firms (CertiK, Trail of Bits)
Search "[project name] scam" before investing
Check Token Sniffer, RugDoc, or similar tools
